THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED The Banyan Bar & Grill at the Addison Restaurant Review:

The Banyan Bar & Grill at the Addison is the swank American restaurant housed within Boca Raton architect Addison Mizner's former home offices. The property's resplendence is evident from the moment you drive through the trefoil arches of the entryway into a lush courtyard with giant banyan trees. The restaurant is comprised of the rooms of the home that have been transformed into a series of intimate dining spaces. While the setting outshines the food, the menu does offer a sensible mix of old-time American steakhouse favorites with more modern seafood, meat and pasta treatments (particularly upscaled American comfort food, like a truffle mashed potato-topped lobster shepherd’s pie with shiitakes, leeks, spinach, corn and hollandaise); signature steaks from a bone-in rib-eye to an 18-ounce porterhouse satisfy in a big way, as does a deftly cooked, cornmeal-crusted yellowtail snapper with spicy mango-jalapeño vinaigrette. Desserts are ho-hum steakhouse choices like chocolate cake and apple cobbler, but the wine list excels. For special occasions involving multi-generational groups, this is always a crowd-pleasing choice.
