 Boasting an eclectic menu featuring local and organic ingredients, Bar Cento is led by the chef team of Michael Nowak and Adam Lambert, who care as much for their customers as they do the community. The bustling, affordable bistro is neighbor to McNulty’s Bier Market, and the friendly staff extend a welcome with a visible kitchen, suitably raucous music and a well-thought-out wine list that includes many---cento, or 100, to be exact---boutique wines. Diners can choose to sit at the handcrafted wooden bar or the space’s cozy tables while feasting on a big board of meats, cheese and house-pickled vegetables. We recommend the black truffle carbonara that comes with a prosciutto cream sauce, while the Ohio hanger steak is not only locally-sourced, but beefier than most steaks you’ll sink your teeth into. Meanwhile, pizzas are fired in a brick oven to create a charred crust and are divided among traditional and modern preparations. Try the Oliva with its olives, capers and mozzarella.
