THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Bar Cichetti Restaurant Review:

Manhattan’s first bacaro---a Venetian-style wine bar---is not on a canal, but it isn’t far from the Hudson River. Nearby advertising and publishing types are drawn to the easy informality of the place and its 200 wines, many by the glass and half-glass. (Cichetti are small, tapas-like plates for noshing.) Chef Dan Zwicke prepares a score of them, and his Venetian crabcakes and arancini (stuffed rice balls) are not to be missed. He also has a light touch in the impeccable execution of Italian classics. Pastas resonate with al dente goodness, fresh seafood and meats are simply and wisely handled, and rosemary-scented Friulian-bread pudding is a fine coda.
