Bar Les Freres Restaurant Review: An evening at this tiny restaurant is a feast for the senses. Owner Zoe Robinson has carefully created visuals --- from deer antlers above the bar to a glamorously gilded sofa --- that appeal to masculine and feminine tastes alike and smoothly incorporated the sense of touch with marble tabletops and vintage glassware. The sounds of conversation can’t help but penetrate when the tables are only a few feet apart, but the noise pales in comparison to the aromas and flavors of the French wine and cuisine. Blini with crème fraîche and caviar are de rigueur, along with classic cassoulet, duck confit, lobster bisque and bouillabaisse. To minimize the wait, go early for apéritifs (the Tres Jolie, with gin, Dubonnet and Cointreau, is a unique option) or late for dessert (try the chocolate mousse), and keep in mind that when the outdoor patio is open, seating capacity doubles.
