Barefoot is very SoCal, from the salad, pasta and grill menu with health-conscious items for weight-watchers (and perhaps the medical types who walk over from Cedars) to the modern but laid-back décor. Lunches range from Cobb salads to crab quesadillas to sushi rolls and ahi burgers with wasabi aïoli, while the wide-ranging dinner menu features items like turkey meatloaf with a red wine reduction, steak frites with chimichurri sauce, and grilled salmon with mustard vinaigrette. The kitchen does its best to extract flavor from generally healthy concepts, although execution can be erratic. Brunches are classic, from eggs Benedict and Florentine to a smoked salmon platter, all served on the comfortable patio.
