Great Wine List* Click here for rating key
| Sommelier Renzo Rapacioli, former president of Sommelier Society of America, oversees an exceptional wine list of 1,000 wines, with an inventory of more than 50,000 bottles. If that's not enough, Barolo's garden is one of the prettiest dining spots in the city. Inside, the setting is casual but elegant. If you order wisely, you can eat very well and authentically Italian. Select an appetizer of fresh tuna tartare with avocado purée, cucumber salad and parsley vinaigrette or the roasted veal carpaccio with tuna and caper sauce. The menu is big, but the specials here are usually good bets. If ordering from that big menu, good choices include filet mignon with wine sauce and roasted fillet of Chilean sea bass with fennel and red pepper sauce. |
