THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED The Barrymore Restaurant Review:

The name is a throwback to Barrymores’ Steak & Seafood, which was located at the old MGM Grand (now Bally’s) in the 1970s. The décor of this “old-school Vegas” steakhouse features a floor-to-ceiling wine display and a ceiling composed of film reels that gives a nod to the movie-themed hotel in which its namesake was housed. Block 16 executive chef Anthony Meidenbauer crafted the menu, which is ably executed by chef de cuisine Francisco Campa. A good beginning is the lobster mac ‘n’ cheese, a rich concoction prepared with a mascarpone and Taleggio cream sauce. Dishes from the sea include Chilean sea bass with buttery fingerling potato, pea shoot, haricots vert and truffled poultry jus. Meat-centric options include the short rib served with bone marrow mirepoix and natural jus; a generous 14-ounce portion of dry-aged New York strip; and the 18-ounce 28-day dry-aged bone-in rib-eye. Accompanying sauces include béarnaise, bordelaise and the signature Barrymore steak sauce. Finish with the Manjari chocolate cake with pear butter, cocoa sablé, pumpkin ice cream and hazelnut florentine. The wine list has the captain’s list with choices from world-renowned wineries; there are 50 selections under $50 as well. Wines by the glass are available.
