Battery Park Bar & Lounge Restaurant Review:

Battery Park Bar & Lounge might look like your average sports bar filled with flat screens and offering 16 beers (and some wines, too) on tap. But there is more to it than meets the eye. For starters, a hidden patio with beautiful gardens is situated out back, and the extensive menu features creative takes on traditional pub grub (think surf ‘n’ turf burgers of grass-fed beef topped with lobster and served on Texas toast). The classic Reuben is made with pulled corned beef; the "Smash" burger, built with a pretzel bun and sided by sweet potato fries, is created with mushrooms, onions and bacon that are "smashed" onto the grill; and a black bean sweet potato burger comes on a salted pretzel roll. Crispy fried chicken wings are kicked up with a honey cayenne pepper sauce. Sweet potato donuts with a crunchy Cracker Jack crust are a final indulgence.
