: The restaurant's terrace looks onto the beach, but don't dream of drifting in here in a bathing costume. Understated elegance is the Beau Rivage style. Fish and shellfish star in Joseph Drapeau's classic, accomplished repertoire, although his menu extends to Challans duck, Limousin beef, and even a truffle-stuffed pig's trotter. But his talents shine brightest in seafood dishes like cuttlefish ragoût with ratatouille and a dash of lobster jus, or sublimely simple pan-roasted langoustines accented with fruity olive oil. Everything is top-quality, and the prices reflect that. Luckily, the excellent cellar posts reasonable tariffs.
