Beyond magnificent aromas of slow-cooked barbecue, don't expect atmosphere. Tables and chairs have definitely seen better days. Service is, well, perfunctory, but nonetheless friendly. Come anyway. The pork sandwich is packed with tender, delectable meat cooked for hours. If you have time, sit down and savor a plate of ribs, meaty, tender and full of rich, deep smoky flavor. Two tomato-based Georgia-style sauces, in hot and medium, are full-bodied; go for the hot, which is hiccup-producing. The mild is too ketchup-y for us. The vinegar-dressed coleslaw is the perfect side dish as its tartness cuts the richness of the meat. Brunswick stew is a unique style, probably not one that would please all fans, because it's juicy and contains potatoes, and little, if any, tomato. Try the cobblers for dessert. No alcohol is served. Ask about custom-smoked salmon, a great party service.
