Bernini of Ybor Restaurant Review: Set the stage for a low-key, romantic evening by reserving a table at Bernini. Request an upstairs table for two overlooking the dining room, order a nice bottle of Chianti or burgundy from the extensive wine list, and dine on entrées of carpaccio of salmon or a beef filet infused with Italian white truffle. Bernini of Ybor is perhaps the only place in funky Ybor City's entertainment district that doesn't cater to the younger, bar-hopping crowd (which can be watched from the safety of a sidewalk table in front of this bank-turned-restaurant). Grounded in traditional Italian cuisine but edgy enough to incorporate regional flavors, Bernini's menu attracts sophisticated locals and visiting celebrities. There is always a pasta dish and vegetarian entrée on the menu, and should you wish to unwind after your meal, stop in at the martini bar downstairs before you go.
