THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Bertolini's Authentic Trattoria Restaurant Review:
The centerpiece of the Forum Shops' first phase, this popular eatery's patio is enhanced by the sights and sounds of Caesars' glorious fountains and statuary, beneath a mall ceiling painted to replicate a sky that changes from daylight to evening every hour. Among signature dishes are calamari fritti with a spicy-cool tomato caper sauce, and chicken penne salad---field greens tossed with grilled chicken, artichoke hearts, kalamata olives and penne pasta in a rosemary-and-Dijon dressing. We like the signature flash-fried Romano-crusted chicken breast with Gorgonzola cream sauce, spinach and wood-roasted mushrooms. Vegetarians enjoy the grilled polenta topped with Alfredo sauce, garnished with mushrooms, garlic, basil, sun-dried tomatoes and mozzarella; and the pizza topped with oven-roasted tomatoes and Gorgonzola, Fontina and Parmesan cheeses. Among specialty pastas are homemade lasagna layered with meat, béchamel sauce and Italian cheeses; and chicken limone---fettuccine tossed with grilled chicken breast, artichoke hearts, sun-dried tomatoes and lemon zest in a tangy cream sauce. Notice the case of gelatos (tiramisu and pistachio among them) and fruity sorbets, and save room for a scoop. Reservations are accepted for parties of eight or more.
