Besaw's Restaurant Review: Besaw's menu features classic American dishes prepared with locally sourced ingredients. Generous breakfasts --- Belgian waffles, a breakfast burger and eggs Benedict --- would keep anyone well-fueled for a day in the great outdoors. The meatloaf, mac ‘n’ cheese, and chicken and waffles are as good as any that Mom used to make (maybe better). Those with lighter tastes may prefer the Cobb salad or the hummus plate. Besaw’s also accommodates gluten-free and other special food requests. Children will like the “Mickey Cake,” a pancake made in the shape of a certain famous mouse. For more adult tastes, there’s a full cocktail menu that includes a first-rate Bloody Mary available any time of day, along with a small beer and wine list. Desserts, such as the homemade cakes and tortes, alone are worth a stop. Kids of all ages will enjoy the chocolate chip skillet cookie topped with salted caramel ice cream. |
