Betty Restaurant Review

: Craig Serbousek and Jesse Thomas's top-of-the-hill restaurant is a sibling of trendy Crow on Lower Queen Anne. The cozy, earth-toned space is flanked by a lively kitchen counter along one side and a bar tucked into the lounge in back. The seasonally-inspired menu is supported by well-crafted cocktails and a choice selection of wines priced under $30. Begin with a tower of heirloom tomatoes blanketed with shaved Parmesan and onion slivers. Green tomatoes are fried and paired with sweet-tart tomato jam. We also like the modestly priced steak frites. If you're craving seafood, check out the seared scallops complemented by bacon-dressed frisée. Fans of Crow's signature dish of crispy-on-the-outside, juicy-on-the-inside roast chicken will not be disappointed with Betty's version. For dessert, indulge in the raspberry crème brûlée or a dark chocolate soufflé with almond ice cream.
