The chef at Bexley Monk is creative enough to offer linguine Diablo (sautéed chicken, Dijon cream sauce, crushed red pepper and Parmesan) and conservative enough to feature time-honored combinations like crab cakes with rémoulade and pork ribs with barbecue sauce. He gives considerable attention to designer pizzas and a variety of pastas, and you should, too---try the version with Apulia marinara, caramelized onion, eggplant, portobellos and goat and Parmesan cheeses. To end a meal, we suggest the pochettes---vanilla mascarpone turnovers served warm with Grand Marnier berry sauce. The décor features dark woods around the considerable bar area and warm tones elsewhere. The wine list has a variety of selections and prices.
