THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Biaggi's Restaurant Review:
This understated Italian chain offers a hearty meal at half the price of most other downtown Salt Lake dinner spots. With big bay windows, oversized booths in warm earth tones, a spacious, open floor plan and professional waiters with personality, the place feels like a grand hall thronged with friends and neighbors. Bring an appetite or plan to leave with a doggy bag. What dishes may lack in distinctive flavor, they compensate for in sheer quantity---from the overflowing plate of mushrooms stuffed with sausage, spinach and garlic in a sauce of white wine and herbed butter; to the trough of oven-roasted shrimp crusted with oregano-and-garlic breadcrumbs and accompanied by capellini pasta in a fresh tomato-basil sauce. Desserts are equally indulgent, especially the bananas Foster with gooey caramel-rum sauce.
