| With a roof shaped like a stealth bomber that emits an eerie green glow, Biba’s Greek Pizza looks a bit odd, but once you sample the fare, you most likely will be put at ease. The former gas station location turns out some fine pizza. Jutting out onto the edge of Memorial Drive, Biba’s has a small, narrow interior dining area. Nabbing a seat on the spruced up pleasant patio is a better idea. There are plenty of choices on the menu, but let’s talk about the pizza first. The Aphrodite is at the top of our list, covered with Greek seasoned grilled chicken, creamy feta cheese and zesty tomatoes. The Original with sautéed spinach, Parmesan, Feta and onions is quite good, as is the Garden with an olive oil base, mushrooms, peppers, onions, black olives and tomatoes. Good sandwiches like traditional Gyros and Meatball Parmigiana along with eight different calzones with flaky crusts and flavorful fillings add to your choices. Traditional Greek home-style dishes like moussaka and spanokopita. The appetizers are a mix of both the familiar and the unique. We recommend trying one of the sampler plates which includes dolmades, tzatziki and taramasalata, a creamy specialty made with roe, milk soaked bread crumbs, lemon juice, olive oil and Greek seasonings. |
