| An offshoot of the original Bice in Milan, this stylish Adam Tihany-designed Midtown restaurant is a big draw for New York's chic. The northern Italian daily changing menu begins with such popular antipasti dishes as lobster bisque, beef carpaccio, crab cakes and crispy calamari. Pastas range from rigatoni with eggplant, tomatoes and salted ricotta and linguine tossed with garlic, olive oil, green olives and fresh herbs to seafood ravioli with swordfish, tomatoes and basil and bowtie pasta with salmon, asparagus, vodka, cream and tomato sauce. Heartier appetites may choose among such specialties as filet mignon with spinach and foie gras, osso buco with saffron risotto or the chicken paillard with fine herbs, butter and sautéed spinach. For wine, choose among a passable list that includes many Italian and California vintages. |
