THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED The Bicycle Restaurant Review: When chef-owner Nicholas Batey took over from founding duo Barry Rumsey and Deborah Mazzoleni, local foodies held their collective breath. They’re breathing easier now; it wasn’t broke, so Batey didn’t fix it. The Bicycle’s cuisine is still delightfully eclectic, with classical fundamentals and spicy Asian and Latin grace notes. The chef retained some Rumsey favorites, such as the pan-fried oyster salad with its kicky chipotle vinaigrette from his seasonal menu. A scattering of little plates and a fun wine list offering 18 bottles at $18 each complete the picture. Bicycle remains fun, witty and urbane.
