THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Bid Brasserie Restaurant Review:

The understated elegance of this space (sleek brushed-steel accents, rotating art work) off of Sotheby’s lobby may lead you to expect more than the kitchen can promise at this brasserie that has had a hard time getting on its feet. The far east location doesn’t help, although L’Impero has proved that shouldn’t matter. Brand new chef Tim Oltmans, who has worked in the kitchens of Commune and Tabla, is in the process of sprucing up what has been a lackluster steak frites-salmon-roasted chicken menu. Maybe once he gets going, Bid will have some takers.
