Biergarten Restaurant Review: If you're in the mood for authentic German fare, belly up to the all-you-can-eat buffet in this cavernous restaurant. From the generous selection of salads and meats (there are more than 15 kinds, like warm German potato salad, cucumber-dill salad and Bavarian sausage salad) to the piping hot grilled bratwurst, frankfurters, spätzle, breaded pork schnitzel and other Deutsch treats, everything is authentic. The kitchen is well aware that German food is thought of as robust and calorie-laden, so chefs include fresh mixed greens and simple rotisserie chicken in the line-up. Long tables encourage a party atmosphere, but so does the Beck's beer that's served in 33-ounce steins. Traditional Bavarian musicians clad in lederhosen and dirndls entertain every hour, and some uninhibited tourists even join in the yodeling. It's all good, clean family fun. |
