At this mock dive bar-meets-taqueria, Paul Kahan (Blackbird, Avec, The Publican) serves both stylized and pretty authentic takes on Mexican faves. The spit-roasted, grilled pineapple-accented tacos al pastor are as good as any we’ve had. The crispy pork belly taco with tomato-guajillo sauce is also worth revisiting. And the wood-grilled chicken with pipian rojo? We like it too. Modern country tunes---selected by Danny’s DJs and Reckless Records---keep the vibe hip. Also on offer are lots of craft bourbons---including affordable shots---as well as small-batch tequilas.
