Big Sur River Inn Restaurant Review:

Big Sur River Inn’s trademark willow chairs in the river are one of the best places to let the quiet of the redwoods wash over you. Or, come on Sunday afternoon to enjoy some of the best local music and the restaurant’s backyard barbecue up on the lawn. We suggest Noelle’s favorite salad with the sweet crunch of candied walnuts contrasting with sharp bites of blue cheese and crisp apple slices, nicely dressed with a raspberry vinaigrette. All salads allow diners to add a grilled balsamic portobello mushroom, avocado, prawns, salmon, chicken or steak. Dinner choices include baby-back ribs and fried chicken, an assortment of burgers and a vegan garden harvest with mixed vegetables in pesto over smoked radishes, farro and portobello mushrooms. A nice selection of beer on tap and local wines rounds out the menu. For dessert? The place used to be called the "Apple Pie Inn." Let that be a clue.
