THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Bistro 123 Restaurant Review:
This beloved French restaurant has become the hub of the Tysons Corner after-shopping and before-movies crowds. Even late in the evening, almost every table may be taken and the bar crowded with a convivial party. The bistro has two dining rooms and a discreet décor that adds a touch of elegance to the mall. So does the menu, replete with coq au vin (our choice) and frogs' legs. While not every dish has roots in the French kitchen, plenty do, as we recommend the Long Island duck confit spring roll---both French and Asian---as well as the luxurious onion soup gratinée, dripping with melted cheese. Desserts, on the other hand, have more of an American spin, especially our favorite, the white chocolate cheesecake with a berry coulis. Despite the formality of the menu, chef-owner Jean-Richard takes into account that not everyone wants a full-scale meal: hence, the assorted sandwiches and pasta dishes. Tired of walking? The restaurant offers a free valet parking service, a boon to weary shoppers. And Bistro 123 puts out an afternoon tea.
