Bistro 19 Restaurant Review

: Build it the way customers want it and they will come. Busy Bistro 19 is proof --- if not in the pudding then in the sleek décor, upscale ambience and bananas Foster napoleon dessert. With clean lines warmed by dark wood and flattering lighting, an intimate dining room emanates the comfortable vibes of its casually affluent neighborhood. Specialty cocktails pass across the bar. Enthusiastic executive chef Jessica Gibson Bauer, an advocate for local, organic ingredients, recasts classic dishes with creative twists. Signatures include Chilean sea bass with horseradish crust, rice wine marinade, Asian vinaigrette, macadamia basmati rice and napa slaw. But the kitchen also augments the menu with frequent specials and seasonal changes --- an incentive for repeat visits. The wine list is both extensive and eclectic, offering wines by the glass as well as bottles.
