THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Bistro 39 Restaurant Review

: A genuine French bistro where Chinese dim sum rules, Bistro 39 is an attractive eatery on Alhambra’s main drag, with white linen-topped tables and artsy photographs of Paris lining the walls. Well priced bistro favorites are the name of the game here, with garlicky escargots de Bourgogne and a respectable French onion soup for starters. Crêpes---ranging from chicken and mushroom in tarragon sauce to ham and cheese in béchamel sauce---are good values and serve as light entrées, perfect with a glass of Côtes du Rhône from a thoughtful little list. True main courses include steak au poivre, duck à l’orange, and pork loin in mustard sauce. Finish sweet with crêpes Suzette or tarte Tatin.
