Bistro 51 Restaurant Review:

One of a trio of restaurants at 51 Buckingham Gate, Taj Suites and Residences, Bistro 51 has a posh lounge décor, all fitted carpets and dark grey colors. This is a please-all menu, well executed but not designed to put off with exciting flourishes. Choose from the likes of smoked salmon, oysters or stir-fried chicken with chilli oyster sauce and grilled sesame seeds. Go on to shellfish risotto or a good pasta, then duck prepared different ways with foie gras and asparagus. Classic grills are popular, or go thoroughly British with a pie. But you would do better to take on the Asian specials, perhaps an Indian set meal platter at £20.50 or the Asian curry sampler for two at £38.50. It’s slick and professional for the mainly business clientele.
