Bistro on the Avenue Restaurant Review: The outdoor seating at this Westmount eatery is what sets the place above the rest, giving it a Parisian café feel with New York style. The laid-back spirit, however, is pure Montréal. The food is familiarly French bordering on classy pub grub. It’s a place you can depend on for a good bite with friends and family on days when you want something simple and homey. Try the roasted Camembert appetizer and then make your way to the pastas, meat and seafood dishes. The crunchy fish ‘n’ chips or mussels marinière are memorable. Dunking a piece of crusty bread into the flavorful brine is delightfully good. Be sure to check out the wine list --- it is very reasonable with quite a selection to boot. Staff is efficient. |
