THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED The Bistro Restaurant Review:
Once known as the most authentic French place in Cincinnati with chef Jean-Robert de Cavel at the helm, this bistro has changed its name, chef and menu---and its identity continues to evolve. The restaurant prides itself on a farm-to-table philosophy and the kitchen offers what could be considered a more casual, French bistro-style experience. Start with French onion soup (with caramelized onions, sherry reduction and Swiss) or salads composed with local greens. Entrées range from coffee-rubbed duck breast to coal-roasted New York strip with a side of duck-fat fries. The lunch menu boasts a bistro burger. Whatever you decide, end the meal with chocolate mousse, a bistro butter tart or cheese plate. You can choose from dozens of wines and even get some for half price on Sunday wine nights.
