THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Black Coffee Bistro Restaurant Review:
Owner-chef Bryan Kimmett grows his own herbs out back and keeps a steady hand on the cook-pot. Its a charming place, an old home fixed up downstairs for guests (Kimmet, wife and baby live upstairs) and as pretty as a country cottage, which it probably once was. The menu is inventive and includes such dishes at lunch as a three-cheese ravioli to start and a pancetta and blue cheese burger sandwich. Heartier fare might include lemon-basil fried chicken. This is a classy hometown spot that brings sophisticated big-city cooking out to horse country.
