THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Black Sheep Bistro Restaurant Review:
Chef Rick Boufford’s signature dishes include sweet dried dates stuffed with cheese and wrapped in a Spanish-style jamón---satisfying with a glass of red vin de table. This restaurant’s name, of course, belies Boufford’s penchant for lamb. There are usually five or six types of lamb dishes on the menu, for example, a spicy lamb harissa, Spanish-style lamb chops, or a whole baby New Zealand rack of lamb. Or opt for crispy duck confit, or perhaps the Gascon grill (half a New York steak, half a lamb loin and a duck breast). The wine list is eclectic and full of boutique producers from Provence, Languedoc and Tuscany. The small shop inside the restaurant features European gourmet goods such as sausages, mustards, olive oils and wines.
