Blackbird Bar Restaurant Review:

This Castro District watering hole offers a fun environment to enjoy cocktails. Expect to see drinks such as the "Strawberry Cooler" made with vodka, Rosato vermouth, strawberries, balsamic, lemon and Peychaud’s bitters; the "Lola" with Altos Plata tequila, Vida mezcal, white tea, ginger and grapefruit bitters; and the "Animal Farm" with Pig’s Nose scotch, Amaro CioCiaro liqueur, sage and vanilla. Twists on classic tipples include a chipotle Bloody Mary. Many varieties of spirits and wines by the glass are available, as are some hard-to-find beers by the bottle and on draft. While Blackbird doesn't serve meals, it does propose six types of "bar jars," including marinated olives and fava bean hummus, nice to graze on between sips.
