| This neighborhood bistro delivers satisfying fare. An elegantly casual vibe pervades the uncluttered space, with mirrors and (strangely enough) mounted antlers---ala Georgia O’Keefe artsy style---decorating the room. Richly simple and full of flavor, the menu features inspired small-plate offerings for afternoon “tidbits.” Our favorites: a creamy crawfish hot dish, all gooey and sweet with Gruyère, and curried lamb meatballs in spicy sauce. During dinner, expect comforting classics such as homemade lasagna and chicken à la king. But we always find it hard to pass by the focaccia stuffed with brisket, caramelized onions and a swipe of horseradish mayo. |
