| This Eastside neighborhood restaurant draws an upscale Silver Lake crowd. Local foodies favor the shrimp cocktail and dilled deviled eggs as appetizers, or the roasted beet salad and yellowfin tuna tartare with a spiced ginger vinaigrette. Chef Ernesto Moreno offers complex Cal-Med entrées ranging from risotto with roasted butternut squash, braised collard greens, apple wood bacon and Fontina to white Peking duck breast with red kale, cippolini onions, parsnip purée and huckleberry sauce. There's also Idaho trout with a ginger, fava beans and pear tomato ragoût. Desserts made on the premises reflect the products of the season. The limited wine list provides plenty of interesting choices by the glass that are well-matched to the menu. |
