THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED LOCATIONS Blue Elephant Restaurant Review: The spectacular setting offers a jungle of pools and burgeoning Thai blooms that are as colourful as the charming waitress’ national dress. The presentation of dishes is also dazzling, with carved fruits and vegetables, and still more flowers, on attractive tableware. All this makes the restaurant an entertainment in itself. The cooking, if not always as spectacular as the venue, usually produces the goods in the form of Thai favourites. Start with classics like chicken satay and Thai fishcakes; follow with whole steamed sea bass with lemon grass, fresh lime juice and crushed chilli or chicken curry with fresh green herbs, coconut and small Thai aubergines. Elephant symbols for hotness gambol across the menu, but as the food is designed for Westerners, you might need extra chilies to balance the sweetness of the sauces. Special offers include a £22 meal for pre-Chelsea football club matches and lunch Monday to Friday for £9.95. Other set menus are lavish in the number of dishes and range in price from £33-£53. Sun. brunch buffet £25.
