Blue Ridge Grill Restaurant Review

: The name and architecture for the Blue Ridge Grill evokes the Southeastern mountains that frame north Georgia’s spectacular landscape. Reliably good for lunch, Blue Ridge Grill presents a wide-ranging menu. Chef Chris Blobaum will revise the menu seasonally, but never can he or anyone else remove the horseradish-crusted grouper with grapefruit butter sauce, the restaurant's signature dish. Grilled whole Georgia trout is moist and flavorful, and the crab cakes with shaved fennel slaw are full-bore crab. Salmon will come medium rare if so ordered. On a fall menu, you may find some game; Georgia is a hunter's paradise for venison and wild boar. The wood-grilled meats remain popular. Vegetarians will have no trouble satisfying their requirements, with these good vegetable side dishes that are served family style, and include a corn soufflé. Dessert offers a classic Southern cobbler with seasonal (and thus fresh) fruit, and for figure-watchers, there’s a daily light dessert bite. The wine list is wide-ranging and includes old-world classics and bold new-world selections, and offers many very fine values that are appropriate with this food.
