Bluestone Lane Restaurant Review:

Set in a sandstone church chapel with vaulted ceilings just across from the reservoir at Central Park, Bluestone Lane is a welcome respite for the throngs of museum-goers on Fifth Avenue. Brunch fare is offered seven days a week. An Aussie favorite is the brekke board, smashed avocado (here called avo) on toast with a choice of house-made granola or blueberry cardamom chia pudding. The traditional Avocado Smash open-face sandwich has a choice of a poached egg, bacon, hummus or mushrooms atop. Wine and beer are available, as are the attractively painted Flat White (coffee) and other coffee concoctions. It’s easy to miss this beautiful indoor café --- just look through the glass doors to the right of The Episcopal Church of the Heavenly Rest.
