THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Bois d'Arc Restaurant Review:
You might be in for a surprise: Despite its French name, Bois dArc serves Southern/Texas cuisine combined with a New York sophistication. Owner and Texan Jim Jennings does food that shines big and bright: Texas-size crispy crabcake sitting in a spicy lobster bisque with tomato concassé and frizzled parsley, crunchy crabcake dipped in the not-too-spicy bisque, pan-roasted skate with collard greens, crispy skate, cooked in a tangy caper brown butter and placed over a huge mound of potatoes... Meat eaters should order the grilled lamb chops with oyster mushrooms in an intense rosemary cream demi-glace. The waiters are dressed in cool black and offer professional service. The dining room is dimly lit with a black-and-white titled floor and wrought iron accents, which give the room a Southwestern feel.
