THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Boizao Restaurant Review: A stylish option in the restaurant row near the even more stylish International Plaza Mall, this venue brings the tastes and ambience of Brazil's famous steak restaurants to Tampa. Guests walk past a window display of sample meats turning slowly on spits, while inside the room is dominated by a long buffet that provides a bounteous array of salads and side dishes. Salads run to the luxurious, with asparagus, hearts of palm and artichokes featured liberally. The challenge is not to fill up on the buffet because the meat selections seem endless. Actually, there are 14 cuts of beef, lamb, pork, chicken and sausage that are grilled and then carved tableside by servers clad in gaucho attire. Each cut is seasoned simply with sea salt, skewered and slowly roasted over an open fire. Each meal comes with freshly baked cheese rolls, buttery mashed potatoes and sweet fried plantains. You control your own destiny regarding the servings of meats: each patron has a coaster, red on one side, green on the other. If green is up, meat keeps coming to your table; red means stop---at least for a while. There's a good wine list and some special Brazilian cocktails for before and after. The dessert selections are a bit more traditional, featuring mango and papaya in several guises.
