Bollywood Bistro Restaurant Review: In its glamorized setting well off the beaten track, this bistro may remind you of Indian film stars, but your focus should really be on the sumptuous contemporary Indian menu. Daring to step outside the norm of rogan josh and tandoori meats, Bollywood Bistro succeeds with such items as Goan lobster with a tamarind glaze and poached sea bass with a fenugreek tomato sauce. Consider the chunks of lamb cooked in a cinnamon sauce or the baby goat masala. But if you have an insatiable craving for hip cooking, plan your visit at lunchtime, when a bountiful buffet table will lure you back for many repeat platefuls. Maybe the fare is not as dazzling as the dishes on the menu, but the selection is varied, and besides, you can eat your fill for one flat price. Be sure, however, to order breads; otherwise, you’ll miss the mint-flavored whole-wheat and the tomato-cheese naan. For dessert, we suggest the shahi tukra, or bread pudding.
