THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Bonaventure Brewing Co. Restaurant Review

: Located on the fourth floor of The Westin Bonaventure Hotel & Suites, Los Angeles, this brewpub is popular during lunch, when employees from the surrounding skyscrapers crowd in for the half-pound burger with Maytag blue cheese, the beer-battered calamari with basil tartar sauce, and the sweet potato fries that are so good, they don't require the accompanying honey mustard dipping sauce. At dinner, the pub grub becomes even more interesting, with shrimp enchiladas topped with roasted chile verde sauce, a ten-ounce skirt steak, grilled and served with a traditional chimichurri, and fish ā€˜nā€™ chips that utilize the brewery's blonde ale for the batter. A dense carrot cake, Southern-style pecan pie and mud pie make for satisfying desserts. There is a limited selection of wine, but it is better to trust the brewery's own creations like the strawberry blonde, pale ale or regularly changing seasonal options.
