| Located on the fourth floor of the Bonaventure Hotel, this brewpub is popular during lunch, when employees from the surrounding skyscrapers crowd in for the half-pound burger with cheddar and honey-cured bacon, the beer-battered calamari with basil tartar sauce, and the herb-dusted shoestring fries that are so good, they don't require ketchup. At dinner, the pub grub becomes even more interesting, with dishes like a New York steak with mushroom peppercorn sauce and coconut- and macadamia nut-crusted sea bass with Asian citrus sauce. There’s a decent selection of wine, but better to trust head brewer David Blackwell’s rich Irish stout and malt-y pale ale. |
