THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Bonita Restaurant Review:

Manned by the progenitors of one of Williamsburg’s most popular restaurant rehab projects, Diner, Bonita is a similar exercise in putting new wine into old bottles. In this case, the subject was a local Latino lunch counter, which was transformed into a stylish Mexican restaurant with only minor tweaks. Stools in front of the restaurant’s open kitchen were kept in place, as was much of the signage. The menu of Mexican staples includes fish tacos, vegetarian quesadillas, chile rellenos and plantains---all turned out with plenty of flavor but little fanfare. Prices are above average for this type of food, but locals seem happy to pay for the added panache.
