THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Bonsai Restaurant Review:
On the Aladdin's mezzanine level in a circular courtyard leading to the resort's fine-dining restaurants, Bonsai's contemporary décor blends Asian influences with touches of Art Deco. Comfortable seating in a lounge-style setting surrounds the massive, circular sushi bar. Misoshiru (miso soup), hiyayakko (tofu), edamame (soy beans) and soba (buckwheat noodle salad) are among popular starters. Bonsai features an array of traditional nigiri, sashimi, maki and ooni rolls such as the Philadelphia---smoked salmon, cucumber and cream cheese---prepared with a flair. The Bonsai Roll---lobster on a California roll---is among favorite house specials. Shrimp cocktails, lobster tails, Alaskan king crab legs and oysters on the half shell are served at the raw bar. Saké, cocktails and wine-by-the-glass selections nicely complement the tasty fare. Reservations are accepted for parties of eight or more.
