Border Cafe Restaurant Review: This Harvard Square hangout, which is popular with college students, offers heaping portions of Tex-Mex and Cajun eats. Everyone likes the complimentary warm tortilla chips covered in salt and served up with a side of chunky salsa and washed down with a Gran Gold margarita. From the overflowing platters of nachos to sizzling fajitas and catfish served New Orleans-style, you don’t need a degree to find the value here. While the service can be underwhelming at times at this location, the young 20-somethings who flock here never seem to notice. Stick with the comfort food plates with a Mexican twist like the enchiladas, tacos and empanadas. Whether you come for the drinks or a quick Tex-Mex fix, it’s almost impossible not to have a good time. |
