Border Cafe Restaurant Review

: Tex-Mex and Cajun specialties litter the menu of these Harvard Square and Saugus twins. At the former, twentysomethings down margaritas and nosh on fajitas while scoping out the kitschy joint for its hook-up potential; the latter is a little more family-oriented but no less raucous. The chow can best be described as heaping, as with piles of nachos or chiles rellenos. At its worst, it can be hard to swallow. If pleasing your stomach is the goal for your evening and you must eat at the Border, stick with simple stuff like quesadillas. Otherwise, joining the tequila- and beer-fueled party will be treat enough. Food or no, dinner is usually a blast.
