Boscos Squared Restaurant Review: Long before the craft beer scene exploded in Memphis, Boscos Squared was creating homebrews on-site to pair with the restaurant’s upscale pub grub (and to use in its wood-fired pizza crust). Microbrew enthusiasts will like the nutty Midtown Brown, the hoppy Bombay IPA, and various seasonal brews. Staff is well schooled and able to help diners unfamiliar with craft beer pair the drinks with the diverse menu offerings (think burgers, pastas, salmon and steaks). The ambience is casual, but the polished wood décor lends the place a classy vibe. And given its proximity to both a movie theater and a live theater, Boscos Squared is perfect for pre-show appetizers (try the fried baby artichokes). Stop in on Sunday for brunch and live jazz by local diva Joyce Cobb. Ask about the chef’s daily special for dessert or go with the tried-and-true chocolate torte cake. The short wine list features mostly labels from California, but the beer is the star of the show. Also located in Nashville and Franklin, Tenn., and Little Rock, Ark.
