Bosphorous Restaurant Review: Bosphorous sits in the middle of busy Park Avenue, a quiet oasis with white linen tablecloths and a handful of tables on the sidewalk with fans whirring overhead to keep diners cool when Florida heats up. Start with the red lentil soup or a pillowy, freshly baked lavas bread and a sampler of the spreads and dips. The menu is extensive, so choose the grilled chicken, lamb or seafood, and build a dinner from there. If you want exotic tastes, try the kofte kebab, minced lamb and beef patties with onions, garlic, parsley and spice, served with rice, or the spinach pide --- a thick crust topped with sautéed spinach, onions and feta cheese. A more straightforward option would be the grilled salmon with lemon and onion. We can make a meal of the appetizers: falafel; tabbouleh; salty, creamy caviar spread with olive oil and lemon; and stuffed grape leaves. Share a baklava or get it to go---the dense, sweet pastry is worth the calories.
