The Varano Group has transformed the former Whiskey Park space at The Boston Park Plaza Hotel into a modern steakhouse and sexy lounge. STRIP by Strega features all things steakhouse (think filet, dry-aged rib-eyes and bone-in Delmonicos), along with some Italian specialties like veal Bolognese and pork chop Milanese. Mario Batali has opened Babbo Pizzeria in Boston Mario Batali has finally come to Boston, and we couldn't be happier. The long-awaited Babbo Pizzeria --- brought to us by the famous New York chef --- has opened at the Seaport District's Fan Pier. The menu focuses on Italian favorites like ricotta calzones, meatball pizzas and spaghetti carbonara with pancetta, as well as some unique finds like crispy duck leg agrodolce, oxtail gnocchi and sweet pea agnolotti. Michael Serpa, former executive chef at Neptune Oyster, has just opened his first restaurant: SELECT Oyster Bar in the Back Bay. The exposed brick interior offers a modern brownstone design, while the seafood-focused menu features international influences with dishes like baby cuttlefish from Spain, as well as standard seafood classics. Pop-up Akinto Dining Program at Wink & Nod
Wink & Nod hosts a pop-up Akinto dining program featuring a special menu prepared by executive chef Patrick Enage. Available Monday through Saturday, sample Asian street food dishes from India, Singapore, Thailand, India, Vietnam, China, Japan and Laos. Meals are broken down into small plates like traditional shrimp bao buns, medium plates (think vegetable-pineapple fried rice) and large plates like Korean-style beef short rib with coconut glaze. Tavern Road Features a Special Menu from TR Street Foods
For the month of April, Tavern Road features a special menu in the main dining room from the adjacent TR Street Foods. The fast-casual lunch concept, which features sandwiches, tacos and kebabs, is shaking things up at Tavern Road. Bar Boulud celebrates every Red Sox home game this season with a decadent hot dog offering. Try the housemade DB (Daniel Boulud) dog with French mustard paired up with a beer for $12.50 or the Alsace Dog topped with sauerkraut, pig head bacon, crispy shallots and a beer for $18. Pauli's Introduces a Carb-filled Menu on April 19 for Marathon Monday
Pauli's introduces a carb-overload menu on April 19 in time for Marathon Monday. Some of the dishes they will be serving up include buffalo mac and cheese; chicken, broccoli and ziti; gnocchi; and eggplant Parmesan.
