THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Boucarou Restaurant Review

: If you want a little bit of everything, don't miss the prix-fixe menu, which is an affordable way to sample the wide-ranging menu. Dishes may include Senegalese peanut butter lamb stew with yams, potatoes and mixed vegetables; pan seared jumbo sea scallops with polenta, aged balsamic reduction and champagne-strawberry coulis; and lamb chops with truffle risotto, sautéed spinach and port wine sauce.

Not worth the ambiance

I went for a friend's joint birthday party. Although the atmosphere was fun, it was incredibly crowded. The drinks were weak.

WOW, WOW, WOW. It's been a while since i've gone out n New York and had such an all around wonderful dining experience. From accommodating our special request to the T, the specialty cocktails, mmm, if the food wasn't so good and our belly's so full, we would have had more of well, everything. Appetizer for 2 special, superb, seafood martini- i wish i could have it everyday and the sea scallops entre, perfection. I can't say enough about our night, the staff was beyond pleasant, we got to meet the chef and upon hearing it was my fiances birthday, he sent over champagne, this is the stuff that keeps NY'ers coming back to your place when there are so many to choose, Kudos! I wold definitely advise going during the week if dinner is your focus, because i can see why this would be a hot lounge on the weekends. Also note, i was under the impression they have sushi but, it is only on the weekends, fortunately for us, it turned out great, we can get sushi anywhere, this made us have to try other things on the menu and we're so glad we did, and talk about portions, nothing here is skimped on, go, now, and enjoy, we'll be back soon for sure. I really can't say enough, it's a gem.
